How to Download TikTok Videos on Any Device (2026 Guide)

TikTok is built to keep you scrolling, not saving. The app has a built-in download button on some videos, but creators can switch it off, it stamps a moving watermark across the frame, and it never works for videos you find on the web. The method that always works

Downloading on iPhone and iPad

Why not just screen record?
Screen recording seems obvious but it is the worst option. You capture your phone’s screen resolution instead of the source file, you pick up the interface and notifications, the audio drifts, and the file ends up bigger and softer. Pulling the original MP4 gives you a smaller, sharper result every time.
Do it responsibly
Saving a video to watch later, to reference while you learn a skill, or to keep a copy of your own TikTok is all reasonable.
